What’s Going Right Today exists to report progress honestly. These standards apply to every story we publish.

Verify before celebrating.
We use credible, attributable sources and look for primary evidence whenever possible. Dates, numbers, locations, and claims should be clear enough for readers to check.

Distinguish progress from promises.
An announcement is not the same as a result. We explain whether something is proposed, funded, tested, underway, completed, or independently measured.

Keep the context.
We do not turn a small step into a miracle or hide limits, setbacks, uncertainty, or who is affected.

Credit the work.
We link to original reporting and source material, name the people and organizations doing the work, and respect photographs and creative ownership.

Correct transparently.
Material errors are corrected promptly and the correction is noted on the story.

Avoid manufactured positivity.
We do not use tragedy as a cheerful backdrop, mistake publicity for proof, or publish claims simply because they sound hopeful.

Use AI responsibly.
AI may assist with research, transcription, organization, and editing. A human editor remains responsible for verification, judgment, and every published story.

Protect independence.
Supporters do not buy favorable coverage. Sponsorships, partnerships, and conflicts of interest will be clearly disclosed.
